Dislodged sign shuts Metro station

A NORTH Tyneside Metro station was closed off to the public as a "precautionary measure" yesterday.
-
Shiremoor Metro station was closed after an enamel panel became dislodged on Platform Two.
No trains were stopping at the platform at around 2pm, and passengers wanting to get off at Shiremoor had to travel to West Monkseaton and return from the opposite platform.
