A COMMITMENT to youth has paid off as far as Sunderland are concerned.

A return to the Premier League represents a landmark and the club's youth policy and focus on the academy continues to underpin the long-term strategy.

The Academy of Light has once again demonstrated its critical role in shaping the future of the club, with homegrown talent making a direct and defining impact on the 2024/25 campaign.

Nowhere was this more evident than at Wembley Stadium, as the Black Cats triumphed in the Sky Bet Championship play-off final to seal promotion.
