HEAD coach Régis Le Bris once again praised Sunderland’s character as Brian Brobbey’s late equaliser secured a 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur.

It extended the Black Cats’ unbeaten run to five matches in the Premier League and took them to 30 points from 20 matches.

The hosts took the lead on the half-hour mark through Ben Davies’ close-range finish as Sunderland predictably sat deep and soaked up pressure.

But they had no choice but to go for goal and they responded with an impressive second-half display and were rewarded after 80 minutes.

Brobbey struck a superb equaliser, combining brilliantly with Enzo Le Fée on the edge of the box before firing home left-footed from just inside the area.
