The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Philippines Chanaka Talpahewa, had discussions with Princess Ashi Kesang Choden Wangchuck of Bhutan on May 2, 2025 during her three-day visit to the Philippines.

The FM statement: "She is a member of the Bhutanese Royal Family, daughter of the fourth King of Bhutan Jigme Singye Wangchuck and Queen Mother Ashi Tshering Pem Wangchuck and half-sister of the current King Druk Gyalpo (Dragon King) Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
