Social media posts against judiciary: BASL asks for punitive action

Referring to recent comments on social media and other platforms, the BASL has asked relevant authorities to deal with perpetrators in terms of Article111(C) (1) and (2) of the Constitution, which contains penal provisions regarding interference with the judiciary.

The text of the BASL statement: “In the past week, there have been comments made on social media and other platforms pertaining to matters that come within the purview of the Judicial Service Commission and the judiciary which are both independent institutions.
