Chevening yesterday announced its South Asia Journalism Fellowship for mid-career journalists from South Asian countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.

The Chevening South Asia Journalism Fellowship (SAJP) offers a unique opportunity for 20 exceptional candidates to develop the leadership skills necessary to tackle issues such as the media’s role in promoting good governance and democratic accountability in South Asia’s changing political landscapes, the challenges of misinformation, media freedom, and press independence in complex social and political environments, and the impact of digital transformation on journalism, including ethical reporting, social media influence, and audience engagement.
