The welcome mat has been laid out to man's best friend on the shore this summer.
North Ayrshire Council have made it clear that dogs are welcome on all beaches, despite some misconceptions that there could be some restrictions.
Dogs are not banned from beaches, the council have confirmed, and responsible owners will not face a fine for simply exercising their pets by walking them along the sand.
