Historic pier damaged as Storm Ingrid batters UK

Sections of a historic pier in Devon has been washed away while Storm Ingrid battered parts of the UK with winds of up to 60mph.
Images shared by Teignmouth National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) yesterday showed large parts of Teignmouth Grand Pier, built in 1865, missing after large waves thrashed the coastline on Friday night and into the early hours of Saturday.
