Town have 'eagerness to get going' in busy run of fixtures

The Terriers return from a two-week gap in their schedule to face Mansfield Town in League One away from home this afternoon, which is the first of seven matches that the Terriers will play in all competitions in the space of 22 days.

Town sit tenth in the table ahead of this afternoon’s encounter, while the Stags are ninth in the division, with today’s hosts above Grant's side on goal difference, but having played a game more.

Today's clash at Field Mill is the first of five away games that Town will play in this busy period.

Discussing his side’s tough upcoming spell, Grant said at Wednesday’s press conference: "We've sat as a group now and we've looked at that and we've assessed the importance of it and we are looking at that as a phase and as a block and we certainly don’t undervalue any of it.

"We know the challenges that will be within it and they'll be significant, we know that.
