A SCHOOLGIRL says she feared for her life after she became trapped in bus doors as the driver set off.

The 13-year-old says she was getting on the 576 service in Boothtown Road in Halifax when the doors closed, trapping her ankle and schoolbag inside the bus.

Then the bus started moving, forcing her to try to keep pace with it while on one leg.

She says she had nothing to hold onto and was terrified that she would be dragged under the vehicle.
