'Chilling' US strategy has roots 'in white supremacist ideology' - MP

DONALD Trump's failure to condemn Russian President Vladimir Putin while attacking Europe has left the UK “vulnerable”, the Commons has heard.

Matt Western, chairman of the Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy, criticised the US's new national security strategy, which questions whether some European nations could remain “reliable allies” in the long-term.

And Liberal Democrat MP Bobby Dean branded the US strategy “a document rooted in racist, white supremacist ideology”.

The US president accused Europe of failing to control immigration and suggested some would “not be viable countries any longer” without changes to their border policy.
