LEE Grant said Huddersfield Town's New Year's Day trip to face Lincoln City is their toughest assignment yet this season as the Terriers look to extend their winning run.

- By SAM ALLEN

Huddersfield put three league wins together for the first time this term to end 2025 in a positive place, but the feelgood factor will be even stronger with their next opponents who are unbeaten in six with five victories in that time.

Lincoln are second and three points off Cardiff City at the top of League One, with Grant's side hoping to make up some ground in the playoff places.

The Terriers ended the year with two home wins and two clean sheets against Port Vale and Northampton Town, which was vital in showing certain principles that had been missing earlier in the season.

"Getting that third consecutive win, which had been elusive for us, was really important, and we had put some extra demand on the group in terms of certain things that are important to us and haven't been present often enough.
