A STARRING ROLE FOR OUR GREEN SPACES
The Huddersfield Daily Examiner
|January 13, 2026
There's change in the air in Yorkshire and the North East, with communities and nature getting closer together.
-
Mafwa Theatre are a Leeds community theatre company who bring refugees, asylum seekers and settled communities together. They've been exploring how nature can play a starring role in their work, recently expanding their team to help people develop micro allotments. They're also working with Leeds City Council to develop play trails in nature. Through Nature Towns and Cities we'll be helping more organisations like this make a difference in urban neighbourhoods.
