NEW CITY LITERARY EVENT CELEBRATES CREATIVITY
-
PLYMOUTH’S new literary festival begins on Valentine's Day - and is perfect for anyone who loves reading.
The Plymouth Literary Festival opens with a creative writing workshop for children and is followed by two days of workshops, lectures and book readings at the University of Plymouth’s Portland Square building.
The festival is organised by English literature graduate Katie Geraghty, with support from her mother Clare Baker, Poorna Gunasekera and all at Global Plymouth, and the National Year of Reading.
The festival, part of the Go All In campaign for the National Year of Reading, is sponsored by Plymouth Citybus and the Family Law Company.
Katie said: "I wanted to create something local, inclusive, and inspiring - a festival that celebrates creativity and gives everyone the chance to share in the joy of reading, writing, and storytelling."
