Tavistock get the band back together for friendly
The Herald
|July 04, 2025
THE cricket season may be in full swing, but as we head into July, preparations are underway at football clubs across Devon and Cornwall with the start of preseason fixtures ahead of the big kickoff in a month's time.
Tonight, Tavistock play an interesting friendly against a Tavi legends side, made up of players from their Western League title-winning squad of 2022 as the class of 2025 hit the grass and begin preparations for their forthcoming season in Southern League Division One South.
Striker Liam Prynn will be returning to Langsford Park just days after announcing he had joined league rivals Mousehole, while the likes of Josh Oak, Josh Robins, Dan Evans, Dave Hallett, Lewis and Warren Daw and Luke Brown will also be pulling on the Tavi shirt once again.
As for Tavi, manager Stuart Henderson is sure to cast his eye over a number of trialists as he continues to build a squad capable of competing in the league this coming season.
The latest to resign for the club was Tyler Elliott, who had such an impact for the Lambs after joining them just after Christmas, scoring seven goals and assisting nine times in just 15 matches.
