FAMILY FIRM DONATES £4,000 FOR CAUSES
A FAMILY-run footwear retailer has donated more than £4,000 to support children, young athletes and environmental work in Devon — all thanks to the dedication of its local employees.
The Pavers Foundation, the charitable arm of national shoe chain Pavers, has distributed £4,200 across three community-focused organisations in the county. The grants were made following applications from staff at stores in Barbican, Plymouth, Bideford and Torquay.
One of the recipients, PEM Disability Children’s Club in Plymouth, received £1,000 to help fund sports activities for children with additional needs. The club, which is volunteer-run, will use the money to support ongoing sessions and invest in new equipment.
