Shared hopes can bring our city together

AS we approach the end of a busy year, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you and reflect on what we've achieved.

First and foremost, it's been an incredible honour to serve as your MP, and to represent Plymouth’s interests in parliament. This has been a really exciting year for Plymouth, with lots of good things coming our way.After a long campaign, we started the year with the brilliant news that Derriford Hospital will be getting a new A&E Department. It's been exciting to see spades in the ground and to watch the new facility start to take shape.

Behind the scenes, my fantastic casework team have been working hard all year supporting residents, closing over 6,000 cases. One of the wins I’m particularly proud of was helping Kings Tamerton Community Centre overturn a £76,000 energy bill dispute. This saved the centre from closure, protecting a vital community space.
