DEVONPORT
Services pulled away in the second half to defeat Lydney 40-16 and stay clear at the top of South West One.Services motored into a 20-3 lead midway through the first half, but slowed either side of the break and allowed Lydney to get back to 20-16.
A second press on the accelerator put Services in the fast lane - and this time there was no way back for the Gloucestershire visitors.
Victory keeps Services (67pts) a couple of points clear of second-placed Topsham (65) in what looks increasingly like a two-horse race for the automatic promotion place out of the division.
