Residents riled by plans for car showroom site

REPAIRS GARAGE AND MOT CENTRE PROPOSAL PROVOKES NOISE FEARS
PLANS to turn a former car showroom on a residential street into a garage and MOT centre has left locals fearing constant noise, fumes and traffic trouble.
The former Ocean Mini car showroom on Billacombe Road, Plymstock, recently shut down, and the sales unit was moved to Longbridge Road, Longbridge.
The vacant site, which sits next to a large Fairway Furniture store and is across the road from The Anchorage public house, has been earmarked for a Kwik Fit garage and MOT centre, according to a planning application being mulled over by Plymouth City Council.
The change of use application also includes a "single-storey rear extension and associated external alterations to facilitate Kwik Fit's occupation and use of the site."
