Parents warned as books include link to adult site

PARENTS across the South West including Plymouth are being urged to check their children’s bookshelves after a website link printed in a book series was found to redirect to a pornography site.

Puffin, an imprint of Penguin Random House, announced it had halted sales of the Spy Dog, Spy Pups, and Spy Cat series by author Andrew Cope. The books, aimed at sevento twelve-year-olds, include a printed web address intended to let readers explore the characters online. That domain has since been taken over by an unrelated third party and now leads to adult content with no age restrictions.
