Ofsted is impressed with school standards

STAFF and pupils at a Plymouth primary school are celebrating after a recent Ofsted inspection graded them as ‘Good’ with elements of ‘Outstanding’ practice. The inspectors, who visited Salisbury Road Primary School earlier this term, found pupils at the school show an ‘exemplary attitudes to their learning’.

Inspectors took on board views from the head teacher, a range of senior teaching staff, the chief executive officer (CEO) and the chair of the multiacademy trust and also took ‘deep dives’ into the subjects of early reading, mathematics, art and design and history.

They concluded that while the overall rating of the school was good, the behaviours and attitudes, as well as the school’s early years provision were graded as outstanding.
