A COURT has heard of messages sent by a small-time London drug dealer accused of being part of an organised crime group who conspired to murder Danny Cahalane.
Abdulrasheed Adedoja, of aged 22, North Circular Road, London; charged with six offences related to acid attack in Plymouth
(CARL EVE)
Abdulrasheed Adedoja, of North Circular Road, London, continued to give evidence in the witness box at Winchester Crown Court in relation to Danny’s death in Plymouth - which he insisted he had no hand in.
The trial of nine people - seven men from London and three women from Plymouth - continued this week following a number of days of legal argument. Seven of the nine, including Adedoja, are accused of 38-year-old Danny Cahalane’s murder and an alternative charge of manslaughter.
Lead prosecutor Joanna Martin KC previously told the jury that Danny - who died on May 3, 2025, following an attack at his home in Lipson Road, Plymouth, in the early hours of February 21, 2025 - was a “drug dealer in Plymouth who owed a large amount of money to another drug dealer further up the chain of command’.
Danny admitted to police he had also gambled with the profits, including money which was meant to have gone to a drugs boss, named in court as Ryan Kennedy, also known as ‘Frost!
In answer to continued questioning from prosecutor Joanna Martin KC, Adedoja confirmed he had a four-figure sum of cash at his home “from the weed I was selling”
He insisted that he was not “working for” Frost, arguing that arranging for a driver to take someone to Plymouth to collect cannabis and cash did not mean he was an employee.
