Man posted heroin with dog food

A MAN who posted heroin with dog food to an address in Plymouth has been told he will not face prison but must do unpaid work as punishment.

Michael Johnson, 33, of Hampton Court Road, Liverpool, appeared at Plymouth Crown Court this week after pleading guilty to the charge of supplying heroin.
Prosecutor Ryan Murray, told the court the offence related to an incident on February 7, 2023 where he went to the West Derby Post Office and sent a box of items to an address in Sedley Way, Plymouth. The resident opened the package to find dog food but also four bags of a brown powder. They alerted police who analysed the powder and confirmed it was diamorphine - around 150g.
