PARKINSON VOWS ARGYLE WILL BOUNCE BACK FROM DROP
PLYMOUTH Argyle will take the learnings of their relegation from the Championship this season and come back stronger, chief executive officer Andrew Parkinson has declared.
Parkinson issued a message to the Green Army on the club's official website following the Pilgrims’ 2-1 defeat by Championship title winners Leeds United at Home Park in their final match of the 2024/25 campaign.
Argyle finished 23rd in the table and will drop down into League One for next term with Cardiff City, who were bottom, and 22nd-placed Luton Town.
Parkinson also stated in his message that the club continued to work towards bringing new investment to support the existing shareholders and that they would ‘be able to provide a fuller update on this in due course!
The Pilgrims’ CEO said the club were in the final stages of finalising their new structures within the football department, which will include filling the vacancies for a sporting director and a new head of recruitment.
