James singer has to sit down after Hoe Sessions' fall

INDIE rock band James are famous for their hit Sit Down but frontman Tim Booth really did have to sit down for most of the band's show in Plymouth last night after injuring his ankle in a fall. The 65-year-old singer delighted fans when he went walkabout during the group's second number Say Something.
But after carefully clambering down from the stage, outdoors on Plymouth's Hoe, he then tripped while walking over to fans behind the barriers. Booth fell and remained on the ground for a few moments before being helped back to his feet by stage crew members.
The star, though looking slightly shaken, did not allow it to affect his performance and continued singing throughout. He then continued his walkabout, shaking hands with audience members and even singing directly to some of them.
Booth, famous for his dancing during James’ gigs, climbed back on stage and told the audience he had fallen and “turned his ankle”. Appearing to be in some pain, he said: “I won't be doing much dancing tonight, you will have to do it for me.”
