Issaka is back at Home Park

PLYMOUTH Argyle have confirmed 19-year-old attacking player Freddie Issaka has returned to Home Park from his loan at Bristol Rovers.

Rovers appointed the experienced Steve Evans as their new had coach shortly before Christmas after the dismissal of Darrell Clarke following an unwanted club record run of 10 League Two defeats in a row.

Evans had his first win in charge of Rovers on New Year's Day with a 3-0 victory at Shrewsbury Town, when Issaka was not included in the matchday squad.

Bristol Live's Will Murray reported that Rovers' five loan signings, including Issaka, were set to return to their parent clubs as they looked to reshape their squad in the early part of the January transfer window.
