Hospitality chain's venture in Plymstock

A NEW café-bar being created inside the former Poundland store on Plymstock's Broadway is set to open next month.
The Lounges chain, which was launched in Bristol but has since gone nationwide with 250 sites, announced late last year that it wanted to create a restaurant at the site.
A planning application to Plymouth City Council heralded the first stage in the company’s programme to expand its chain of café-bars, which has already proved popular in Plymouth.
Signs currently outside the building suggest it has already been given the name Divino Lounge, and there is a board urging people to apply for hospitality roles at the venue.
Builders can be seen by shoppers coming and going from the front entrance as well as the rear access point.
A spokesperson for Lounges said it aims to open the Divino Lounge on Saturday, June 28, and will create around 30 jobs for local people.
