A SCHEME which aims to tackle food waste and food poverty at the same time is appealing for people to join up to a fundraising scheme to help them cope with the huge rise in demand for their services.
FareShare South West is launching the Food Friends scheme, where people sign up to giving anything from £5 to £25 a month to support their work.
The charity say two million people have been pushed into hunger since the pandemic and yet thousands of tonnes of good to-eat food is still being thrown away.
