HE'LL BE JOINING THOUSANDS OF OTHERS AT THE CENOTAPH
A ROYAL Marine veteran from Plymouth will be joining 10,000 others from the veteran community at the Cenotaph Parade in London.
Ian Whittingham will attend the ceremony on Sunday, November 9, to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice. And the 62-year-old has a strong message for everyone who will be watching this year's Remembrance events.
Ian, who served for over 20 years, said: "As the nation remembers the fallen, I’m asking the public to join me in making a promise to today’s veterans and their families - so every person who serves knows they will be supported when their service ends."
Ian is one of around 50 veterans (who have all been supported by Help for Heroes), carers and staff from the charity, who will pay tribute to fallen comrades.
