Dolphin rescued after becoming stranded in mud in a creek

A DOLPHIN was rescued from an inland creek almost four miles from the open sea in Cornwall after becoming stranded in mud.

In a report from the British Divers Marine Life Rescue team, reports were made on August 19 of two dolphins stranded in a muddy area of the creek in Penpoll, near Fowey, with the tide coming in.

Marine Mammal Medics, including a veterinarian, went to the location with rescue equipment and found that one of the dolphins had already died.
