TOM Cleverley believes the League One knowledge and experience of new signing Ronan Curtis will be a big benefit for Plymouth Argyle.

The 29-year-old former Portsmouth attacking player has joined the Pilgrims from Port Vale on a contract until the summer of 2028 and will wear the number 28 shirt.
Curtis becomes Argyle's first new signing of the January transfer window and fills one of the positions in the squad that Cleverley was very keen to strengthen this month.
The head coach also wants to bring in another striker, with 14-goal top scorer Lorent Tolaj and Bim Pepple currently his only two forwards available for selection after an injury to Owen Oseni, while another midfielder is a possibility.
Curtis began his career in Northern Ireland with Derry City and joined Portsmouth in 2018, going on to make a total of 188 starts and 38 substitute appearances for them, scoring 57 goals.
