Cleverley vows to work harder to turn it around

TOM Cleverley is ready to adapt Plymouth Argyle's style of play as they continue to struggle for form, consistency and confidence in League One.

The Pilgrims' boss will look to add a defensive solidity to his team, who suffered a morale-sapping 2-0 Devon derby defeat against Exeter City at St James Park on Thursday night.

It was a result which left Argyle in the bottom four of the table and even though that is after only 13 of 46 league games it is still an uncomfortable position for them to be in after dropping out of the Championship last term.

Cleverley said: It's something that seems pretty consistent over all the relegated clubs this season, barring Cardiff, and I'm talking Championship, League One, League Two.

"A lot of relegated clubs are struggling, whether that's having to do a brand new turnover of squad, whether that's hangover. We don't take comfort in that, that there's others suffering from it. We need to get to the bottom of it.
