A DRIVER who endangered other road users with a dangerous overtaking manoeuvre in Mary Tavy, near Tavistock, was one of more than 3,000 drivers who faced action for potentially deadly behaviour on the roads in Devon and Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall Police took action against 3,400 motorists after fellow drivers submitted footage of the offences to Vision Zero's Operation Snap.
Vision Zero is run by a collection of organisations across the two counties committed to reducing the number of road-related deaths in the region. Road users can submit dashcam or mobile footage of dangerous driving to the operation.
Last year was a record-breaking year for the operation, which saw dangerous manoeuvres, lethal overtakes, insecure loads and drivers jumping red lights all take place on roads in Devon and Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall Police received 4,736 video submissions, more than one and a half times the number submitted in 2021.
