A PLYMOUTH charity set up to help children and vulnerable people in Romania is holding its latest fundraising sale this month, after raising a record amount at its last event.
However, the Rainbow Project says the rising cost of food, and additional red tape due to Brexit, has hampered its ability to continue to support people in eastern Europe.
The charity based on the acronym Romanians Are In Need Before Our Wants are holding a Spring Sale at the home of chairperson Bee Pugsley in Plymstock on May 9 to 11, offering stalls including clothes, bags, shoes, toys, jewellery, bric-a-brac, linen, cards, books, jigsaws and homemade cakes, plus teas and coffees. Members of the charity are also offering lunches, but these need to be pre-booked in advance.
Its last sale, which took place at Plymstock Chapel in February, raised more than £2,800.
