Anti-fraud raids on 'dodgy' sticks leave out region

THE South West is one of the only regions in England and Wales not being targeted by anti-fraud raids for dodgy Amazon Fire sticks.

While 17 regions in the country have seen a major crackdown on fake TV sticks, there has not been such a large scale operation in the force areas covering the re South West.

Counterfeit Amazon Fire Sticks are modified versions that allow users to access premium channels without paying, and they've been infiltrating homes across the country.

Fire Sticks are media streaming devices that enable users to stream videos, play music, and install apps on their televisions. Criminals tamper with the gadgets to provide unauthorised access to premium content from legitimate providers such as Sky, BT Sport, Disney+ and Netflix.
