Pride flag taken down by council after complaints from Christians

The spa town of Matlock in the Peak District is known for the joyful flags fluttering brightly above the town's many independent businesses.
That was until the council removed a pride flag after complaints from some Christian residents. Now local people are demanding its return.
Kate Bond, who lives in the town, said she had donated £150 to refresh tatty flags. Only the St George's Cross and the union flag had previously been flown, so she was delighted to also see the addition of the Derbyshire county and pride flags on the high street last week, after a decision by the town council's 11 members.
