Escaped parrots returned to London zoo after six-day adventure

Two "critically endangered" parrots that had escaped from London zoo have been found 60 miles away in a field in Cambridgeshire.

The missing blue-throated macaws were tracked down after numerous sightings, and were spotted in the garden of a family home in Buckden. They flew away once more before being traced to a field in nearby Brampton.

When zookeepers arrived, the birds reportedly flew into their arms and were given treats such as pumpkin seeds, walnuts and pecans.
