Meteorologists have announced this year's list of north Atlantic winter storm names, with Amy, Bram and Chandra leading the lineup for the 2025-26 season.
The Met Office, Ireland's Met Éireann and the Dutch national weather forecasting service KNMI began naming storms in 2015 to raise awareness and help people prepare for severe weather. The climate crisis is shifting weather patterns, intensifying extremes and making parts of the UK more susceptible to flooding.
