Viveash backs Conway to bounce back

ADI Viveash backed Tommy Conway to get back among the goals for Middlesbrough, as he and the Boro players prepare to rally around the crestfallen star.

Conway looked distraught on the bench on Tuesday evening after coming off shortly after missing a huge opportunity to fire Boro into the lead against Coventry City. It proved costly, as the league leaders scored twice late on to win the game.

The miss meant Conway's run without a goal stretched to 13 games, with his last goal for Boro coming against Sheffield United in August.

Viveash was keen to defend the striker after the game, and backed him to turn his fortunes around.

Viveash said: “He's like everybody, they're obviously down, they put a tremendous amount into the game, a big physical exertion from both teams, a lot of hard running from both teams. He worked extremely hard.
