MIDDLESBROUGH prospect Rio Patterson-Powell has signed a new two-year contract at the club, just a few weeks after making the first-team bench.
The right wing-back was an unused sub at Preston North End last month after impressing Rob Edwards during the summer. In particular, his performance in the friendly at Hartlepool United caught the new head coach's eye, as he watched on with a few senior players in action that night.
