Stuey closes gates on 27-year-long caretaker role

A CARETAKER who has worked at Stockton Riverside College for 27 years is retiring.
Stuart Alderson, known to most as Stuey, is a familiar face in the corridors, after working first as a caretaker and then maintenance assistant at the college. Stuey, described as being part of the fabric of Stockton Riverside College, joined the team in 1998.
He started at the then Stockton and Billingham Technical College, before the new build, new name and move, to its current site on Harvard Avenue, Stockton, in 2003.
