Stokesley fight back after early troubles to see off Boro

STOKESLEY recovered from a tricky start to claim a 29-run victory against Middlesbrough.

Hosts Stokesley lost three early wickets to Harry Williams (5-59) and were 35-3 at one stage, before Andrew Weighell steadied the ship with 63 and Jason Erskine fired 43 in their final total of 206-8.
Boro then were up against it with the bat, as they lost early wickets and were 30-4 at one point. Joe Gaudie made a valiant 97, but could not save Boro, who were all out for 177.
Stockton slumped to 74 all out as they took first knock at home to Great Ayton.
Joe Marsay took 3-40 and Suminda Lakshan 4-2 ina fine bowling display by the visitors.
