A MIDDLESBROUGH man has lost over four and a half stone with a football focused weight loss club.

Chris Topping, 44, from Middlesbrough found himself struggling with his physical and mental health after moving to the town. His weight crept up, and loneliness crept in.
In June 2024, he found himself at his heaviest, weighing just over 21 stone, and at his lowest mentally. Chris explains: "I was looking for a way to meet people and I was also trying to lose weight. I had not long moved to the area and was struggling to keep a routine at the gym and my mental health was declining from a lack of social activities.
"MAN v FAT Football appeared on my Facebook feed and caught my eye, so I decided to give it a go."
