Man jailed after vicious assault on woman in pub car park

A YOUNG woman was violently attacked when she confronted a man she believed had been filming her dancing in a Teesside pub.

Trenton Spriggs punched the woman and shoved her into a parked car - he continued to hit her and aimed a kick at her while she was on the ground, then pulled her along by her legs.

The assault continued until another young woman who saw the incident bravely intervened.

Teesside Crown Court was shown shocking footage of the assault in November last year.

Spriggs, 23, had left The Cleveland, in Middlesbrough, and the victim followed him out, confronting him over the mobile phone she believed he had been filming her with.
