Graphic design students named as best in the UK

Jess Sweet and Cambell Raine, who attend The Northern School of Art, took gold and silver respectively at the 2025 WorldSkills UK competition.

The event celebrates and champions vocational skills with this year's competition in Cardiff attracting 286 entrants from all over the UK in the graphic design category. This was the first year that students from The Northern School of Art had entered.

Their success puts the second year Middlesbrough campus students, both 17, in line to be selected to join the international training programme.

They would then go on to represent the UK at the international WorldSkills competition being held in Japan in 2028.
