frustration as Boro last-day showdown

City. That feels like a massive IF right now though. This Boro side have given us little reason to believe in them particularly in the last two games, against sides with little to play for. Boro should have walked them off the walk with desire alone. Instead, you'd be forgiven for thinking on both occasions that Boro were the side already on the beach.

frustration as Boro last-day showdown

Those full-time scenes did not lie. You'd be hard-pressed to find many, if any, Boro supporters who carry any belief heading to the CBS Arena next weekend. While he promised they'd recover from the disappointment and go again next weekend, even Carrick struggled to put a positive spin on things in the immediate aftermath.

The truth of the matter is, Boro have meekly limped into a final-day showdown rather than earned one. There is little seen of late to inspire any hope that this Boro team are good enough. Ultimately, that door is open and they have to just try and take it.
