Frank plays down Spence snub

THOMAS Frank moved to shrug off Djed Spence’s post-match snub - in a moment that could have implications for Middlesbrough.

Spence and Tottenham teammate Micky van de Ven were seen reacting angrily at full-time of Saturday’s defeat to Chelsea.

As Frank walked on to the pitch to shake the hands of the players, Spence and van den Ven were caught on camera snubbing their boss and headed down the tunnel as he appeared to be telling them to go and thank supporters.

Asked about the incident after, Frank said: "I think that is one of the small issues. We have Micky van de Ven and Djed Spence who are doing everything they can. They perform very well so far this season and everyone is frustrated. We do things in a different way, so I don’t think it is a big problem.
