Conway out of squad for Scots’ game

SCOTLAND boss Steve Clarke expressed his sympathy for Middlesbrough striker Tommy Conway after surprisingly leaving him out of this month's internationals.

Conway has scored two goals in Boro's opening four games, including his winning goal against Sheffield United last time out which ensured Boro's 100% record at the start of the Championship season remained intact.
Despite that, Clarke omitted the 23-year-old from his Scotland squad.
It's only the second time the Boro striker hasn't been selected for the national team since Clarke handed him his debut back in June 2024.
The first time was last October, with the striker out with a hamstring injury at the time.
