Colleagues join Kath at the Race for Life

A shop worker who is celebrating 50 years with a Teesside branch of Marks & Spencer has inspired her colleagues to put their best foot forward for a cancer charity.

Kathryn Reid was just 16 when she joined M&S and this year - as she marked 50 years with the firm - her colleagues at the Hartlepool store have taken part in the Race for Life, inspired by her battle with breast cancer.
More than 20 members of staff joined her for the event and raised more than £1,700 for Cancer Research UK. The team took on the various distances of 3k, 5k and 10k.
