Football bosses have hit out at firebugs after their ground was targeted for the second time in a week.
An area of grass beside St Mary’s Park in Kirkcudbright-home of St Cuthbert Wanderers-was set on fire on Sunday, having also been set alight the previous Tuesday.
Firefighters were also called out to deal with a blaze on the same patch of land near the stand in March this year.
Club chairman Ian Mcintyre has called on them to stop before serious damage is done.
He said: "It's knocked the wind out of my sails a bit, it's pretty soul destroying.
